Die Langhuis, built in about 1865, is one of the oldest village houses.
Found in Barrydale, on Route 62, it provides a welcome stopover for travellers on this wonderfully scenic
alternative to the N2, Oudtshoorn and the Garden Route.

The house has been restored, beautifully furnished, and caters for bed and breakfast guests in
two en-suite bedrooms, both with showers and Victorian baths.
The garden, behind the house, has lovely views of the
surrounding Warmwaterberg and Langeberg Mountains.
There is a small pool in the garden for use on summer days.
In winter a log fire is made in the sitting room
where guests are invited to sip a glass of Jeripigo before going out to dinner in one of the local restaurants.
The dining room opens onto
a vine and Wistaria covered
patio, which is an ideal place for afternoon tea.
Guests may choose to sleep in a four poster bed in “The Lairds Chamber” or in
“The Garden Room” , which is twin bedded and, as its name implies, looks out
into the garden.
Regret no children.
